On behalf of the landlord, Thompson Heaney have let the former Brantano on the Phoenix Retail Park in Longton to Shoezone. Other occupiers nearby include Currys, Smyths, Pets At Home and TK Maxx.
The Homebase in Worcester has been let to The Range. The landlord took possession of the property following the CVA of Homebase. Other retailers at Tybridge Retail Park are Aldi and McDonalds.
Smyths Toys have opened their 5th store of 2019 which is also their 5th store in the North East of England. Other retailers on the same Retail Park include Matalan, Costa, Aldi and Argos.
ScS open their 12th store in Scotland at Fife Central Retail Park, Kirkcaldy. Other retailers on the Park include Next, M & S Simply Food, Sainsburys and Boots.
TUI have downsized their business at Birmingham Fort to reflect the change in the business model since the original lease. The other half of the former store was taken by Clarks. The Fort is one of the largest wider Midlands retail destinations with a total of 324,000 sq ft of retail and leisure.
Smyths Toys have opened their 4th store of 2019 and their 2nd in Devon, in part of the former Toys R Us at Bishops Court Retail Park, Exeter. This store provides an important service for customers between the existing Smyths stores in Plymouth and Bristol.
Thompson Heaney, acting for Laura Ashley, have agreed terms for a new lease on improved terms, securing the future of one of their successful stores at Centurion Point, Chester.
Acting jointly with Calan Retail, the former PC World at St David’s Industrial Estate, Swansea, has been let to Simply Gym. The scheme is now fully let.
On behalf of Costa, Thompson Heaney have acquired new Costa Coffee stores at Trafford Retail Park in Redditch, Beacon Retail Park in Bletchley and a drive thru’ coffee shop at Wisbech Retail Park.
On behalf of The Canal & River Trust, Thompson Heaney have agreed a surrender of the lease from Carpetright (trading as Sleepright), to facilitate a new letting to Starplan Furniture.
